I am an engineer and fitness coach in Boston.
I am an engineer and fitness coach on a mission to help underserved populations gain access to fitness communities in their area. Gym facilities and personal trainers are uniquely positioned to serve as community leaders in health and wellness. I built Nanedge to enable fitness professionals to effectively provide their services to people with adaptive requirements.
My passion for healthcare and technology stem from personal and professional experiences. During college, I worked as a full-time nursing assistant and observed first-hand the negative impacts that neurodegenerative diseases and expensive healthcare has on patients and their families. This experience motivated me to intern in a biochemistry lab studying optogenetics and prototyping a Parkinson's Rigidity Monitor for my senior capstone project.
After graduating cum laude with a bachelor's in electrical engineering and pre-med studies, I joined the ADI Digital Healthcare team to design analog-to-digital converters used in computed-tomography (CT) scan applications. This role proved especially impactful during the COVID-19 pandemic, as our technology played a crucial role in saving lives. During my time at ADI, my fascination with cloud-computing and big data analytics grew exponentially, ultimately leading me to pursue a full-time career in software engineering.
I currently work as a software engineer at Labviva where we are revolutionizing life sciences procurement by creating an AI-powered digital marketplace. I am also a volunteer fitness coach at The Phoenix where I help provide a safe and inclusive recreational environment for individuals recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. When I am not working or volunteering, I am either traveling or building inclusive fitness software at Nanedge.
